These stories will range anywhere from YA to sensual and will always recognize that the characters and plot are the focal point of the story. Robb, Leanne Banks, Stephanie Laurens, Lisa Kleypas, and Sherrilyn Kenyon.

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

The important requirements are that the protagonists be likeable people who overcome some obstacle to find true romance. Your story must be authentic and believable for its time period, and must have a happy and satisfying ending. A touch of intrigue would be a plus.

What We’re NOT Looking For:
Please no stories that are “burning hot.” No extremely explicit sensuality or stories that might be considered "romantica," a hybrid between erotica and romance. On the other hand we do not want stories that are “Kisses only.” Stories will have to be more than simply "sweet." Aim for that warm, romantic sweet spot.

Liza Brown recently joined Intrigue with her new contemporary romance to be released in the Fall of 2016.
Her contemporary romance, Center Courtship, is the first in a planned series about an independent, quirky young woman who runs a used auto parts shop in the small town of Massillon, Ohio. Mae Belle's life is turned upside down when she learns her 12-year old nephew has been involved in a hit-and-run automobile accident. Because she is the aunt who will do anything for her nephews, she reluctantly answers the call to be the stand-in for her nephew’s trip to meet Elsu, the star player for the new basketball team that has come to town. This story has romance, suspense, and drama. It also covers Mae’s realization that she is still affected by abuse she endured both as a child and as a teenager. She learns that being independent is hard to do alone.

Juli Monroe joined Intrigue's stellar panel of authors with a sensual short story of a man's first sexual encounter titled Chocolate, Cheese and Choices.
